EHS Environmental Engineer Internship

We are a global chemical company and one of the nation's leading manufacturers of agricultural solutions. Our Hannibal plant is built to manufacture high-quality products in a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound manner. We occasionally have the need for contingent labor, and that's where you come in. This is a paid, full-time, temporary position. If chosen, you will report to a manager/mentor who will provide you with oversight and details of your assignments.

The scope of assignments for this role may vary, but will likely include:

• Support development of unit specific environmental emission calculations
• Support development of utility consumption tracking tools (specifically steam and electricity)
• Facilitate implementation of automated tools into environmental reporting requirements

• Support Relative Accuracy Test Audits (RATA's)
• Support alternative waste treatment (potential pilot stage testing)
• Support alternative waste treatment (potential environmental permitting development)

May be asked to support other environmental projects related to waste, air, or water regulations. 

Required and Preferred Qualifications: At least two semesters of general chemistry, two semesters of organic chemistry and a basic understanding of vapor/liquid composition balances (henry's constant, vapor pressure contributions, etc.). Familiar and comfortable with excel.   

This job pays a competitive hourly wage (depending on experience) for a 40-hour week. Company office holidays that occur during your term with us will be paid days off.  We're interested in hosting a student for a spring term beginning in January and staying through the summer, or a fall term beginning in May and lasting through December. A limited summer internship is also a possibility, depending on your school schedule and your availability.
