Community News Reporter (Editor-Track)

We’re looking for a motivated, community-minded News Reporter who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and do meaningful local journalism — and who wants to grow into an Editor role within a year.

This full-time position serves our award winning bi-weekly print newspaper, daily website and app, and daily email newsletter. You’ll cover the stories that matter most to our readers: city government, school boards, courts and crime, and local events. You'll write multiple stories per week, attend public meetings, and manage our daily newsletter — helping ensure our community stays informed every day.

You’ll work closely with our editorial leadership, gaining the skills needed to transition into a future editor position.
