The Marketing Resident at United City Church will grow in social media strategy, creative content development, storytelling, and digital communication. Under the guidance of the Worship Pastor and Social Media Director, the resident will help implement and shape the online presence of United City Church across platforms. This includes content creation, event coverage, calendar planning, branding initiatives, and campaign execution. The resident will gain experience in creative collaboration, production processes, analytics, and pastoral alignment. They will also be spiritually mentored throughout their journey to serve with both excellence and integrity.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will primarily be, but not limited to, providing support to the Worship Pastor in these core responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Communications Manager and UC Staff to support and advance the church’s marketing and social media strategies
  • Coordinate the creative team’s tasks and responsibilities to improve overall efficiency
  • Manage scheduling, details, and events related to UC initiatives, with a focus on social media campaigns
  • Maintain the Communications Manager’s calendar, arranging meetings, promotions, and campaigns
  • Assist in planning and preparing materials for various marketing events and meetings
  • Handle emails, messages, and other forms of communication related to the department
  • Ensure the upkeep of digital assets & creative content, organizing & updating as needed
  • Support the Creative Department in all capacities as opportunities arise
  • Assist in planning and executing social media outreach and engagement strategies
  • Participate in planning and executing digital and social media campaigns
  • Assist in content creation, including graphics, videos, and written posts for all platforms
  • Schedule and oversee content creation efforts for United City events and initiatives
  • Support UC Creative events both administratively and creatively through social media
  • Perform additional tasks as requested
  • Manage the onboarding process for new creative team members
  • Supervise and contribute to the development of the creative team and strategies, with a focus on social media
