BUILDING SYSTEMS ENGINEERING (BSE) TECHNICIAN I
Why This Role Matters:
As a Building Systems Engineer Technician, you will assist in the production of structural, HVAC, plumbing and/or electrical system plans for a wide range of building design projects. You will use computer-aided software to develop models and designs for building projects across our diverse practice areas and work closely with team leadership to bring projects to gainful, timely completion, collaborating with architects, engineers, and interior designers alike.
What You'll Do:
- Participate in product research, evaluation and selection of appropriate resources and tools
- Interface with Technology Services team to coordinate data collection and management
- Make site visits alongside senior team members to document existing systems and gather and consolidate owner documentation
- Check in frequently with architects, designers and engineers regarding assigned projects
- Collaborate with the design team to craft sketches, layouts and plans
What You Bring to the Table
Must Have:
- High school diploma
- BIM modeling and drafting skills
- Construction administration duties experience
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and/or other similar programs
- Interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively both verbally and via written correspondence
- Technical problem-solving skills
Nice to Have:
- AS degree in a technical field of study
- Familiarity with most governing codes and standards as well as engineering formulas and methodologies

The rate for this position generally ranges between $21- 26 per hourly. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employees already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law.
