Bay Area Projects Intern

Join Us as a Bay Area Projects Intern – Drive Innovation Across Data, Events, and Membership Strategy

Are you a driven, detail-oriented, and curious student eager to explore the life sciences industry from the inside out? Biocom California is looking for a Bay Area Projects Intern to join our dynamic team for a hands-on experience supporting regional strategy, data systems, event operations, and membership engagement at the state’s largest life science trade association.

With the aim of promoting growth and involvement in the life science space in the Bay Area, this multifunctional internship provides the chance to gain practical experience in data management, event coordination, strategic marketing, and member engagement, offering a well-rounded view of how regional initiatives support the broader biotech ecosystem. You'll discover how a leading life science culture uses networking, communications, and events to increase its influence.

What You’ll Be doing

Data Collection & Evaluation- Help update leadership and contact information within Salesforce to keep member records current.

Program Support- Support event operations by assisting with on-site logistics and updating attendance records.

Members & Benefits - Track member participation and benefits such as speaker roles and committee involvement. Use Pitchbook to research and identify prospective member companies.

Campaigns and Events- Log and manage data in Salesforce, including building campaigns and maintaining contact lists for outreach.

What we are looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Management, or a related field, or recent grad with related field.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A detail-oriented, highly organized multitasker who thrives in a dynamic environment.
  • A friendly, professional communicator who enjoys working with people from all backgrounds.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with care and confidentiality.
  • Tech-savvy! Proficiency in MS Office Suite is a plus

Company: Biocom California

Location: Bay Area, CA (Hybrid)
Hours: Part-Time 18-32 hours/week (Fixed Mondays, other two days flexible)

Duration: Tentative (5-8 months), Starting August  

Pay: $20/hour
