Part-Time Student Office Assistant
Work is under the general supervision of the Procurement and Facilities Supervisor to assist the Department of Ophthalmology’s administration team.
Assist up to executive level staff and faculty in administrative assignments. Coordinate facilities management requests and projects for work in the department. Responsible for managing the reservation of conference rooms. Ability to assist in technical issues with conference room equipment. Assist in equipment management for department. Maintain accurate and complete inventory, affixing property decal(s) on newly purchased capital equipment. Maintain office equipment and liaison with IT. Process appropriate paperwork to salvage of inoperable or obsolete equipment and furniture. Conduct annual and/or periodic equipment inventory and maintain equipment logs and records according to university and campus requirements. Place requests for missing or low inventory in office setting. Utilize basic data entry skills. Knowledge of how to process detailed work, handle changing priorities, time constraints, and frequent interruptions. Skills to use a personal computer and computer software programs at the level of sophistication required for the unit including intermediate skill level in Microsoft office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to life up to 30lbs or request assistance with other office personnel.
- Ability to sit for periods of time.
