Communications Intern

Job Summary:
Assist with planning, development and implementation of a communications program, and/or public relations plan for an assigned agency, department, facility or function.
This position is located at the Northwest Georgia Public Health District Office in Rome, Georgia. This is a part-time intern position working 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities / Duties
• Strong written, verbal, and communication skills with a knack for online culture that communicates the Public Health message
• Passion for identifying new trends in social media and staying up to date on the latest platform updates and offerings
• You're a self-starter who is interested in helping to identify and create projects that increase awareness of I participation in public health programs and services
• Superior project management and organizational skills
• Familiarity with social media channels and the production of informational material in a variety of media channels
• Detail-oriented, persistent follow-up and an ability to juggle shifting priorities
Minimum Qualifications
Pursuing Bachelor's degree related to Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or other related fields.
