Marketing Intern
Job description
Overview:
Left Field is a new dating app that connects you with people nearby (think Pokemon GO meets Hinge). We’re looking for a creative social media intern to help shape our social presence and grow our community. Your focus will be growing our TikTok and Instagram.
Key Responsibilities:
TikTok (Brand + Founder Accounts):
- Brainstorm and pitch 5–7 new short-form content ideas per week (across both accounts)
- Identify trends, audios, formats, and aesthetics that resonate with Gen Z (esp. in NYC)
- Edit and post content using tools like CapCut, Canva, or native TikTok editing
- Support occasional content shoots or help coordinate them
Instagram (Rebrand + Content Planning):
- Lead a refresh of our Instagram aesthetic (more cohesive and appealing to Gen Z)
- Design assets (posts, Reels covers, stories) using Canva or similar
- Curate a content calendar with an eye toward consistency, tone, and visual storytelling
- Work with the founders to align brand voice across platforms
What We’re Looking For:
- Gen Z with strong aesthetic taste and digital instincts
- Graphic design skills - you don’t need to be a pro, but you should have a good eye and be confident with Canva, Figma, or similar
- Comfort with editing tools for short-form video
- Up to date on TikTok culture, meme formats, and digital trends
- Creative, organized, and self-starting: we’ll bounce ideas with you, but we’re counting on you to take initiative
Details:
- Part-time internship, minimum 5 hours/week
- Hybrid, with occasional IRL collaborations in NYC
- Stipend available depending on project scope
