Position Overview
Malaria No More (MNM) is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Communications Intern to support our U.S. and global communications efforts. The Communications Intern will join a dynamic team advancing MNM’s mission to end malaria through strategic storytelling, content creation, and advocacy-driven communications. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with an interest in global health and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Qualifications
Pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in communications, journalism, global health, healthy policy, or a related field
Strong writing and editing skills, with experience creating content for nonprofits, global health, or digital platforms
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and managing multiple deadlines with strong attention to detail
Deep interest in global health, advocacy, and MNM’s mission to end malaria
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with key social media platforms (Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
Experience with tools like Hootsuite, WordPress, Canva, or EveryAction is a plus
Duties and Responsibilities
Draft, edit, and proofread a range of written materials, including blog posts, newsletters, web copy, and social media content
Support planning and execution of email campaigns: maintain editorial calendar, draft copy, and build emails for distribution
Track and report on digital performance metrics
Assist with communications and content development tied to global health milestones and advocacy moments (e.g., UN General Assembly, Giving Tuesday, etc.)
Support promotion and coordination of MNM events and webinars
Provide general administrative and research assistance as needed
Perform other communications-related duties as assigned

Compensation
The internship is a paid position at a rate of $20 /hour. We are currently recruiting for Fall 2025 with an approximate start date in early September.
