Advocacy and Outreach Intern
Internship Description
Fertility Within Reach is a non-profit organization that advocates for fertility health benefits at the individual, professional, and legislative levels. This internship position is focused on improving Fertility Within Reach’s advocacy efforts. At this position, interns will gain experience in non-profit work through the completion of several projects and goals, including:
- Research for communication development
- Update existing educational booklets on fertility preservation
- Conduct outreach for our legislative and public health educational efforts
- Collaborate on projects throughout our departments
- Ensure that the language of Fertility Within Reach’s documents is inclusive and appropriate
- Connect with professionals in the fertility, legislative, or reproductive healthcare fields to strengthen the Fertility Within Reach network
Regular responsibilities of this job will include managing and working on our Banking on the Future initiative as well as writing, designing, and publishing newsletters, blogs, and webinars.
Non-profit work is exciting and dynamic. The responsibilities of this internship may shift with the direction of our advocacy initiatives as we are constantly developing new ideas to aid our cause, and new responsibilities and projects become available regularly.
This is an unpaid internship; we would be happy to assist with completing any documentation for university-sponsored stipends.
Location
Our internship program is fully remote. Opportunities for in-person work may be available for interns based in the Boston area. However, the location of the applicant does not influence hiring decisions.
Schedule
This is a summer-long, unpaid position at a minimum of 5-10 hours per week. Given the intern’s interest and availability, the internship may continue during the fall semester.
