IT Business Systems Analyst Intern
OVERVIEW
Union Home Mortgage’s L.E.A.D Internship Program’s goal is to provide a fun, interesting, and real-world environment for our interns to Learn about the industry, be Educated by Sr. Leadership and their peers, Achieve their personal goals and Develop their skills and knowledge base. We pride ourselves in providing innovative programs for our interns in order for them to learn and grow they progress through their careers. Some of the programs we offer include: shadowing, mentoring, professional development, group projects and we even take our interns on corporate outings! Our internship program gives students a chance to meet new people, gain more experience, and learn from the best in the business! Our interns are treated like full-time Partners who work 40 hours a week during the 3-month summer program, are compensated, and based out of headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio.
A Business Systems Analyst Intern works closely with information technology professionals and business users to identify and solve organizational problems by redesigning and injecting technology into business processes.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user needs to create solutions that support business strategies.
- Acts as a liaison between IT professionals and business users.
- Document system requirements.
- Facilitate review of system requirements with cross-functional team members.
- Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
- Hold test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.
- Execute test cases and report test results.
- Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.

SKILLS REQUIRED
- Detail oriented with the ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet established deadlines.
- Candidate must be enthusiastic, a self-starter and have the ability to work in a group or independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Pursuing a 2-year or 4-year college degree in Business Analytics, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or another related field.
- Passion or interest for improving Business Systems
- Sophomore, Junior or Senior Standing.
