Employment Consultant
Supports individuals with developmental disabiliites in achieveing their vocational goals. Responsible for assessing, training and/or supervising assigned persons receiving services at selected job sites. S/he performs community assessments, task and job analyses and writes corresponding reports to include making recommendations for employment goals. The Employment Consultant assists in the education and consultation to employers and assists with the development of natural supports at the work site. S/he learns to perform the job in order to assess the individual's job performance. S/he is responsible for continued modified work intervention, as needed, and will provide follow-up services at each assigned job site. In addition, the Employment Consultant may assist other Job Point staff in job development activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with 3 years work experience. Related work experience may be substituted for educational qualifications.
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid Class E Missouri driver’s license within 30 days of employment and possess an excellent driving record.
- Must have or be able to obtain certification in First Aid, CPR and Positive Supports Training within 60 days of employment.
