Please note: this position is paid on an hourly basis and limited to 1500 hours per calendar year.  The salary range for Student Assistant (E&A) is $18.27 - $28.16 per hour.

The State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Financial Assistance has an opening for a Student Assistant, Engineering and Architectural Sciences in the Small Community Water Unit. The position is located at 1001 I Street, 16th Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814 right in the heart of downtown next to light rail stations and other public transportation.

Duties: 

The Student Assistant performs a variety of sub-professional tasks related to the planning, design, construction and implementation of water quality protection and improvement projects. Projects are related to wastewater, drinking water, water recycling, and integrated regional water management. Knowledge of basic engineering principles is necessary for the incumbent to be successful in the position.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
