OR Tech and Recovery Room Assistant
Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York (RMA of New York), one of the country's top fertility centers, is looking for an experienced OR Tech as well as a recovery room assistant as to work in our Mount Kisco office.
The Surgical Tech’s responsibilities include:
- Preparing and maintaining a sterile field with the required instruments and supplies to complete a designated surgical procedure efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Prepare, setup, and scrub for routine and urgent surgical procedures and prepare patients for surgery
Circulate in the OR with the MD and Anesthesiologist
Responsible for the proper maintenance of the procedure rooms and ordering of supplies.
Handle the organization of deliveries
Recovery Room Assistant responsibilities as needed include:
- Monitoring patient flow
- Escorting patients for procedure
Preparing recovery rooms between patients
Assist with morning monitoring and as needed assist MD in examination rooms during monitoring.
Qualifications include:
A Surgical Technician Certification or Medical Assistant Certification is a plus.
Nursing Assistant, PCT, Phlebotomy, or related certifications are welcome.
A current BLS/ACLS Certification is required.
At least one year experience in acute care operating room or assisting in procedures is required.
Open to non-certified medical professionals
Must be detailed oriented, able to work independently as well as part of a team, smart, outgoing, organized and enjoy working with people. Excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills are required. Bi-lingual language skills are a plus; interest in the field of reproductive medicine is highly preferred.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays as assigned.
