Engineer III

 

This full-time position will be responsible for directing the engineering activities of the Asset Management group. This shall include performing difficult/complex professional engineering work and supervising professional and technical engineering staff. This position will entail the review of the entire capital improvement program of the department, developing and administering a Reliability Engineering program for applicable infrastructure, and directing the O&M Ready process, which ensures that our enterprise asset management systems are updated with new and retired assets. This position will be responsible for conferring with relevant staff on updates; prepare the department’s asset risk profile; administer the engineering functions of the Asset Management consulting engineer’s contract; assist in the preparation and review of capital and operating budgets; provide information to leadership, managers, and supervisors and outside consulting firms regarding the application of AM policies; and stay informed of current engineering practices through professional organizations, committees, and appropriate training.  

 

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a valid State of Ohio certificate as a registered Professional Engineer and three (3) years of professional engineering experience, which includes one (1) year of supervisory experience over professional engineers or engineering projects. Substitution(s): Possession of a valid State of Ohio certificate as a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) and nine (9) years of practical engineering experience, which includes two (2) years of experience supervising Professional Engineers or engineering projects. Candidates must also possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license. The salary range for this position is: $46.41 - $69.63 hourly.
