Oregon Law Help Legal Content Internship
We are looking for someone to Collaborate with attorneys to create clear, accessible legal content for publication on the Oregon Law Help website.
What you will do:
- Consult with legal experts to research and write clear, user-friendly legal content on issues that impact Oregonians.
- Translate complex legal concepts into clear, concise, plain-language articles for a general audience.
- Use AI tools to support drafting, editing, and enhancing content for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure all materials follow accessibility standards and align with Oregon Law Help’s guidelines for inclusive, user-centered design.
- Update existing content to reflect changes in laws and the legal system.
- Engage in team meetings, training sessions, and feedback sessions to support ongoing skill development.
- Supports departmental projects, administrative and clerical activities.
- Model behavior and practices that value diversity and incorporate inclusive and culturally competent practices.

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a JD program at an ABA accredited school, 3L preferred, or paralegal program with completed course in legal research.
- At least one (1) year of administrative experience in a professional office environment.
- Dedicated to public interest law and expanding access to justice. Experience working with underserved communities (low-income, immigrants, disabled, etc.) preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite in a Microsoft Windows environment with particular emphasis on Word and Excel.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in keeping with the policies and objectives of the Access to Justice Departments and the OSB.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to the concept of teamwork and cross-responsibility within a department.
- Ability to pay strict attention to detail.
