Clinical Mental Health Counselor

Position Overview:
Mental Health Counselor for in-person position with an opportunity for teletherapy as needed. As a therapist at RCPT, you will provide therapy services to clients from a wide diverse population facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and other mental health challenges. Ideal candidates will bring their own therapeutic style and specialties to enrich our diverse, client-centered practice.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide IN person individual, couples, family, or child/adolescent therapy based on your licensure, training/scope of practice, and needs of the client
  • Implement psychotherapy techniques tailored to each client's unique situation
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with ethical, legal, and insurance standards
  • Conduct intakes, assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with the practice owner and other clinicians as needed

Qualifications:
 

  • Active Michigan License as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Limited Licensed
  • Counselor (LLC/LLPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work
  • Experience providing therapy to children, adolescents or adults
  • Offer trauma-informed care and evidence based clinical techniques
  • Skilled in assessment, client communication, and treatment planning
  • Strong ability to integrate Christian faith-based approaches with best practices of
    psychotherapy upon request of the client
  • Willingness to learn and continue developing their skills
  • Desire to be a part of a growing, positive, team environment
  • EMDR or Brainspotting certified is desired or willingness to train
