Data Scientist Summer 2026 Intern - Campus Hire

Who We Are

At 2OS, we’re more than just a niche consulting firm—we’re a close-knit team of skillful data scientists and business analyst experts passionate about solving complex problems in the credit and risk space. From innovative fintechs to top national banks all over the world, we partner with clients to deliver data-driven solutions that create real impact. Our mission is straightforward: help our clients win—while enjoying the journey.

What You’ll Do

At 2OS, our interns don’t just observe from the sidelines—they contribute from day one. As a data science intern, you’ll work on meaningful projects that have real impact for our clients, which include top-tier financial institutions and high-growth fintechs.

You'll apply advanced modeling techniques and business-driven thinking to solve complex data challenges. Whether you're cleaning and structuring messy datasets, designing and testing algorithms, or generating insights to guide smarter decisions, you'll be collaborating closely with our experienced data scientists and business analysts every step of the way.

Beyond technical work, you’ll develop the communication skills essential to a successful analytics career—translating your findings into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. At 2OS, we value smart thinking and clear storytelling equally.

This internship is a unique opportunity to deepen your technical capabilities, gain exposure to the financial services space, and experience what it’s like to be part of a fast-paced, collaborative team solving real-world problems.

Salary: 2OS will pay you an annual salary of $100,000.00, paid semi-monthly and subject to deductions for taxes and other withholdings as required by law, for the duration of the ten-week internship.

Basic Qualifications
If this sounds like you, we’re already interested:

You're planning to graduate in Fall 2026 or Spring/Summer 2027

You’re pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a quantitative field such as data science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related discipline.

You have a strong foundation in statistical concepts and a working knowledge of machine learning techniques.

You have experience working with real-world data, whether through coursework, research, or internships, and can extract meaningful insights from messy datasets.

You enjoy solving business problems just as much as building models and always seek to understand the "why" behind the data.

You’re proficient in Python (or R, though we prefer Python), and can efficiently code, analyze, and visualize data.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)

While not required, the following will make your application stand out:

Prior experience in fast-paced, analytics-driven environments, such as internships, research, or intensive coursework.

Confidence in building models from the ground up, rather than relying solely on existing templates or notebooks.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into business-relevant insights for diverse audiences.
