Job Description

This position is in-person at our office in San Diego starting in January 2026 or October 2026. Full time accountants have the option to work from home 2 days a week after 6 months of employment. We have no fully remote positions.

A Staff Accountant at Considine & Considine provides the highest quality service as the primary outside accountant to Business, Professional, Real Estate, and Hospitality owners. Duties may include, compiling interim, annual, and audited financial statements, income tax preparation, tax planning, retirement and estate planning, and analyzing financial information to fulfill and exceed all client expectations.  One must also introduce innovative ideas in an effort to improve the quality of the firm, maintain strong ties to our community by taking an active role in a variety of organizations, and be responsive to the needs of the communities we serve.

We are looking for individuals with accounting degrees from a college or university who are well-rounded in aspects of experience, G.P.A., leadership and interests. Candidates must be self-motivated, able to take on challenges and work well under pressure. A Staff Accountant must be knowledgeable in computer operations and possess strong communication skills with their clients and peer group.

Staff Accountants will join the team of one of our seven departments: Audit, Business Services, Business Tax, Professional Services, Real Estate, Retirement & Trust, or Small Business Services. During the interview process, we will discuss which service area a candidate is most interested in, and each new hire will be placed in a department depending on the full-time staffing needs of the firm.
