Student Assistant – Office of the Foundation and Grants

This Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA) oversees the college’s non-profit foundation and grant development office. The OIA Student Assistant position supports the Friends of Chabot College Foundation, the fundraising arm of the college. 

Responsibilities are (but not limited to): 

• Ability to work ~5-10 hours per week 

• Complete general administrative tasks such as scanning documents, corresponding via email, preparing mailings, assembling items for events, office organization, etc. 

• Draft flyers, invitations, posters, annual reports, newsletters, etc., with publishing software such as Canva, Word, etc. 

• Supporting special events such as fundraisers and mixers 

• Creating, developing and/or posting content on social media (e.g., FB, LinkedIn, and IG) 

• Attending in-person meetings, as needed 

• Working with online ticketing systems, as needed
