Physical Therapy Assistants - PTA - Multiple Locations

Are you passionate about helping others regain their strength and independence? We’re looking for a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our collaborative and patient-focused team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering high-quality physical therapy services that restore function, prevent disability, and help patients reach their full potential.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide hands-on physical therapy treatments to patients of all ages—from pediatrics to geriatrics—based on individualized plans developed by licensed physical therapists.
  • Progress treatment plans in alignment with physician orders, professional standards, and departmental protocols.
  • Lead patient care classes and group sessions for specific conditions, and participate in specialized clinics (e.g., Amputee Clinic) as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with evaluating therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state licensing and organizational standards.
  • Demonstrate strong time management and computer proficiency, including use of electronic health records and smart documentation tools.
  • Uphold a professional, dependable, and flexible approach while contributing to a supportive team environment.
  • Stay current with continuing education and training tailored to the patient populations you serve.

Basic Qualifications:

Education

  • Graduate of accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program, basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology appropriate to PTA.
  • Successful completion of clinical internships.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

License, Certification, Registration

  • Physical Therapist Assistant License (Oregon)
  • Basic Life Support within 2 months of hire

Additional Requirements:

  • Basic skills in PT procedures and treatment, use of modalities (US, electrical stimulation, traction, etc), documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of clinic experience in comparable setting.
  • Knowledge base applicable to patient load at KSMC.
  • Skills in group dynamics, leading classes.
