Data Scientist

A remote-first, product-driven tech company is seeking a Data Scientist to join its growing analytics team. If you’re passionate about using data to shape product direction, drive user engagement, and uncover business opportunities, this role offers you the chance to make a direct impact in a fast-paced environment.

Role:
As a Data Scientist, you’ll work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams to uncover insights, build predictive models, and deliver decision-making tools. You’ll design experiments, own analytics initiatives, and help shape the product roadmap.

Responsibilities:
📌 Lead data-driven projects from exploration to actionable recommendations
🤝 Collaborate with product and leadership teams on strategic initiatives
📈 Define and track key business and product metrics
🧪 Design and evaluate experiments to validate hypotheses
🧰 Work with engineering teams to define data collection needs
⚙️ Build and maintain data products for reporting and operational use

Requirements:
🎓 Bachelor’s or Master’s in a technical or analytical field
💻 2+ years of experience in an analytical role at a high-growth tech company
🧠 Strong SQL skills (Hive, Presto) and experience with Python or R
📊 Proficiency in experimental design and data visualization
🗣 Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
💡 A passion for analytics, product, and continuous learning

Nice to Have:
📚 Advanced degree in Statistics, Operations Research, or Engineering
📉 Experience in subscription analytics or user funnel optimization
📊 Tableau or similar visualization tool experience
🌍 Experience working with distributed teams across time zones

💵 Salary range: $130,000 – $150,000 USD
