Video Editor Internship – Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas

As a Video Editor Intern at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas, you’ll work alongside the Creative Content Manager to craft powerful, mission-driven stories. This hands-on role offers experience in video editing, storytelling, post-production, and content creation that makes a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit mission-driven videos that bring RMHC CTX stories to life, ranging from short-form clips to long-form series for web, YouTube, and presentations.
  • Support all phases of post-production: organizing footage, building rough cuts, color grading, sound balancing, and adding motion graphics or captions.
  • Assist with on-site filming, including setup and breakdown of gear such as tripods, light stands, microphones, and camera equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Content Manager to ensure each piece aligns with campaign goals, brand voice, and platform-specific requirements.
  • Maintain organized file structures, export standards, and delivery timelines across all projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.


 

Skills & Experience:

  • A passion for human-centered storytelling and alignment with the mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas.
  • Must be a junior or senior college student in good academic standing, pursuing a degree in Film, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proficient in non-linear editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve) with strong visual storytelling and pacing skills.
  • Experience editing both short and long-form video, with working knowledge of YouTube formatting and series structure.
  • Ability to color grade, mix audio, and apply branded motion graphics within an edit.
  • Familiarity with filming best practices and common production gear (e.g., tripods, lenses, light kits, microphones).
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and receptive to feedback.
