Manufacturing Intern

Summary 

A manufacturing intern supports the TransMachine MTT Head of Operations in multiple areas, including but not limited to, warehouse order fulfillment and packaging, manual machining, CNC machining, and welding.  This role will perform various manufacturing functions under the direction of lead operators within their respective cells.  This internship provides the intern exposure to all aspects of major machine shop manufacturing.

 Skill Development Opportunities

• Customer order fulfillment.
• Learn MIG and TIG welding techniques for flat welding, welding shafts, and welding using a turntable.
• Learn to load and operate various CNC machines, and to inspect machined products.
• Learn gear machinery set-up and operation.
• Become proficient with measuring tools and measuring methods.

Skill & Experience

• Ability to show up and show up on time.
• Must be able to take instructional notes and follow them to achieve the desired results.
• Must be able to work cooperatively with others even in challenging situations.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs. repeatedly daily.
• Must be able to lift 60 lbs. into and out of machinery multiple times a day on a periodic basis.
