We also encourage, enlighten, and equip our community partners to recognize and provide meaningful outreach opportunities, particularly as we support the international population in developing stronger, lasting connections within their communities.

We are currently seeking a motivated UI/UX Designer Intern to join our Digital Media & Creative Design team to support the development of inclusive and impactful digital platforms.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the web development team to design user-friendly interfaces for nonprofit programs and platforms.
  • Participate in the project handoff process and learn documentation best practices.
  • Assist in the development of intuitive layouts and user flows for public-facing and internal systems.
  • Work closely with graphic designers, SEO managers, and cybersecurity advisors to ensure alignment of user experience, branding, and security.
  • Attend team meetings and communicate project status effectively with stakeholders.
  • Gain exposure to WordPress, Figma, and project management tools.
  • Engage in team-building activities and cross-functional collaborations.

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • Currently a senior or graduate student in a UI/UX Design, Web Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related program.
  • Passionate about nonprofit causes, accessibility, and clean design.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with tools like Figma, Adobe XD, WordPress, or Sketch is a plus.
  • Eager to learn and open to feedback.

CPT/OPT Eligibility & Compliance:

This internship position is designed to meet the requirements for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and Optional Practical Training (OPT) for international students.

For CPT: Students must obtain authorization from their academic institution prior to starting the internship. The internship must be directly related to the student’s field of study and integral to their curriculum.

For OPT: Students must have received their Employment Authorization Document (EAD) and the role must be related to their degree program.

Note: This internship opportunity is open to all students—international or domestic—and is not limited only to CPT or OPT participants. WoMen of Connections Ministry welcomes applicants from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds.

WoMen of Connections Ministry will provide documentation of duties, supervision, and hours worked to assist with school and USCIS compliance as applicable.
