Position Summary:

The CSA Social Impact Fellowship is a competitive, high-impact internship experience for students and early-career professionals seeking to build real-world skills in social impact, leadership, and nonprofit strategy.

Fellows in the Fundraising Track will support donor development, grant research, and campaign strategy to grow CSA’s funding base. Interns rotate through a unique rhythm of 1 week of learning followed by 1 week of experience, continuing this cycle throughout the program. This model allows Fellows to build skills and immediately apply them in a real-world, mission-driven context.

This is a hands-on, virtual internship designed for individuals eager to learn the inner workings of nonprofit fundraising and philanthropy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research prospective donors, grant opportunities, and corporate sponsors
  • Assist in drafting grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and donor updates
  • Contribute to development of fundraising campaigns and appeals
  • Help track fundraising metrics, donor records, and outreach efforts
  • Support storytelling and impact communication for funders
  • Complete assigned learning modules and reflection tasks as part of the fellowship cycle

 

Qualifications:

  • Interest in philanthropy, nonprofit fundraising, or grant writing
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills
  • Organized, goal-oriented, and deadline-driven
  • Comfortable using digital platforms and CRM tools (training provided)
  • Deep alignment with CSA’s mission and vision for impact

 

Commitment:

  • Estimated commitment: 6–8 hours per week (virtual, flexible)
  • 1-week learning / 1-week experience cycle throughout the term
  • Participation in weekly virtual check-ins and project updates
