Family Practitioner in Wrangell, Alaska

  • Join a medical team with a mission-driven mentality and provide essential care in a welcoming community
  • Enjoy an amazing quality-of-life working Monday-Friday seeing an average of 16 patients per day plus minimal paid call
    • Paid call is 1 week on Q4 rotation: 8am-5pm in office, 5pm-8am from home (rare to come in)
    • Ability to pick up extra call for extra income if desired
  • Keep all your skills sharp in a rural community, performing a wide range of procedures from sniffles to emergent medicine (no OB)
  • Get the support you require from monthly rotating subspecialists
  • State-of-the-art critical access hospital with 9-bed inpatient and 16-bed long-term care with a daily census of 3
  • Professional leadership opportunities available and the potential to transition to an in-patient Hospitalist/emergency role (7 on & 7 off)
