
Staff Accountant
Summary
The Staff Accountant Position is responsible for ensuring the Finance department creates
accurate and timely financial records for the organization.
Essential Functions:
1. Prepare monthly financial reporting and other accounting services for subsidiary
companies
2. Analyze accounting records, including financial statements and other financial
reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards defined
within the department including:
a. Bank reconciliations,
b. Journal entries including revenue allocation
c. Bank deposits
d. Prepare supporting schedules for financial statements
e. Tax filings
f. Review invoices and payments for appropriate coding
3. Work with the Controller on appropriate fiscal strategies for the organization.
4. Reviews records of accounts to ensure accuracy.
5. Develops systems for the maintenance of financial records, making use of
current technologies.
6. Assist with year-end audit activities, work with auditors to prepare annual tax
filings
7. Other activities as deemed necessary by management
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or finance or equivalent experience, plus three
years of accounting experience.
Position is expected to pay $68,000 annually
