Job Overview
We're looking for a people-oriented, ambitious self-starter to join our marketing team as a Marketing Growth Associate. This role is designed to grow awareness of our agency, generate leads through in-person networking, and build relationships that result in new client partnerships.
You'll attend events, connect with business owners, and promote our services in a meaningful, conversational way. In return, you’ll get an hourly wage, bonus/commission for closed deals, and the opportunity to prove your value for a salaried role.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend local events (business meetups, chamber mixers, conferences, and other networking events)
- Proactively introduce MoDuet to business owners, nonprofits, and decision-makers
- Listen to and understand marketing needs; identify how our services may help
- Log all outreach, contacts, and qualified leads in a shared system
- Follow up on conversations via email, social, or phone (light nurturing)
- Coordinate with MoDuet Team to set up discovery calls or proposals
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a willingness to learn techniques to build great client relationships.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with WordPress and/or Shopify, with a basic understanding of site design, development, optimization, and content management. Eager to build hands-on experience in these platforms.
- Digital Marketing Knowledge: Familiar with concepts and strategies across SEO, social media, email marketing, PPC, and paid digital campaigns, with a strong willingness to learn and apply these skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Enthusiastic about learning trends and best practices in account management, digital marketing, and e-commerce.
- Analytical Skills: Willingness to learn how to interpret performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to support client goals.

Performance-Based Compensation
To reward outstanding performance and encourage growth, we’ve designed a compensation and commission structure tailored to this role:
This program is designed to motivate and recognize exceptional performance while ensuring strong collaboration and success across the team.
- Base Pay (Hourly):
- $18–$28/hour depending on experience and strengths.
- Performance-Based Compensation:
- Earn a up to up to 20% commission for each new service successfully onboarded and retained for three months.
- Examples:
- A $500 Concierge Marketing Plan = $100 in commission.
- A $2,400 Annual WordPress Hosting Plan = $480 in commission.
- A $5,000 website project = $1,000 in commission.
Performance Evaluation
- 10+ new contacts added per month (warm leads, not just email swaps)
- 2–4 qualified discovery calls or in-person meetings booked (includes internal team) per month
- 3+ new website hosting clients signed within the first 90 days
- 1+ concierge clients signed within the first 90 days
- 1+ new website clients signed within the first 90 days
- Demonstrated understanding of our services and strong client-facing communication
- Interest in pursuing a full-time Digital Account Representative, Integrated Account Manager and Digital Strategist or Marketing Growth Representative role.
Growth Opportunity
After 90 days, this role will be reviewed for a potential salaried Integrated Account Manager and Digital Strategist position, Digital Account Representative or Marketing Growth Representative based on:
- Consistent lead generation
- New client acquisition
- Cultural fit and collaboration with the team
- Overall contribution to client growth and brand visibility

Example of First Month Expectations
Week 1
Intro to team, overview of services, key differentiators. Order Business Cards and any promotional material, Setup email, CRM access. Provide marketing information and FAQs. Identify 3+ local events to attend.
Week 2
Practice delivery with team, shadow a discovery call. Begin creating a "warm contact" list.
Week 3
Attending at least 1 event. Meet 1:1 with the team lead to discuss positioning and follow-up strategy.
Week 4
Review leads generated, evaluate quality. Submit first potential client for discovery call. Adjust strategy based on feedback.
