
Sales Engineer - Environmental
We are hiring for a new position focused on managing our Environmental customer base in the Municipal Water and Wastewater sector (referred to as ENV). The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain and grow relationships with ENV customers, identify their needs, and provide effective solutions from our product and service offerings.
As the key point of contact for these customers, you will provide expert guidance tailored to their equipment or process needs. This role requires strong sales and communication skills, along with a solid technical foundation.
While general knowledge of municipal water and wastewater processes is beneficial, the primary focus will be on presenting aftermarket solutions for our existing installed base. You will receive training to confidently engage with maintenance and engineering teams to offer the right products and services.
Travel Expectations
This position requires regular day travel within the territory to visit customers. Occasional overnight travel will be necessary as territory coverage expands. Travel is generally expected 2–3 days per week. On non-travel days, work will be performed from the employee’s home office.
Territory Focus
Georgia, with initial emphasis on the Atlanta–Macon region. Ideal candidates will reside in this area, though other locations within Georgia may be considered.
Compensation
Training Period (up to 2 years): $65,000 – $75,000 base salary
Post-Training: Commission + bonus, with expected earnings exceeding the training salary
Requirements
Located in Georgia, preferably near the Atlanta–Macon region
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 2–3 days per week
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with technical audiences
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Proficient with basic computer tools (e.g., email, Excel, CRM or contact tracking systems)
Prior experience in outside or technical sales, preferably to municipal or industrial customers, will receive preferential consideration
General knowledge of municipal water/wastewater processes or related equipment is a plus
Background in mechanical or industrial systems, fluid handling, or rotating equipment is beneficial
Engineering or technical degree preferred
