LEGO After-School Instructor

Do you like building with LEGO and having fun with kids? This job might be for you!

I2LI is an innovative company offering after school enrichment classes to elementary school kids. We are looking for experienced teachers/instructors to lead LEGO-inspired programs that take place in elementary schools in the SE Denver Metro Area here in Colorado. You must be punctual, responsible, flexible, innovative, and love to work with kids!

To be considered, applicants must have experience leading groups of 10-20 kids ages 5-12 (Kindergarten to 5th Grade), and reside in or near our school areas (see below). Must have availability from 2-5 pm Monday-Friday. This is an excellent way to supplement your income and work on a flexible schedule. Since you will be at multiple schools through the week, you will need reliable, self-transportation.

We are looking to cover 3 positions for schools in: SE Denver Area

During the school year, classes start after 2 pm and typically finish by 5 pm (varies based on class and school dismissal). While classes are an hour of instruction, we pay for 3 hours of time per class after the Instructor has finished training.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging after-school LEGO sessions, fostering creativity and teamwork among children.
  • Manage classroom behavior to ensure a safe and productive environment.
  • Provide individualized support to students, adapting activities to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Implement first aid procedures when necessary, ensuring the well-being of all participants.
  • Collaborate with parents and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
  • Encourage positive social interactions and develop children's problem-solving skills through structured play.

School Break Note: Our schedule follows the Denver Public School calendar. If DPS has no classes scheduled, we also have no classes scheduled. 

This position may also lead to: teaching/leading preschool classes, birthday parties, camps, in-school field trip events, special projects, etc.

Compensation: $21 - $22 per hour, based on experience, with minimum 3 hours paid on days worked.
