Compliance Analyst Intern  

Kennedy Capital Management LLC is a St. Louis-based, boutique investment firm that has focused on a goal of generating superior returns in the small and mid-cap domestic equity markets for our clients for more than 40 years. We are currently seeking to add a Compliance Analyst Intern to our team.  

Position Summary 

Under the supervision of the Chief Compliance Officer, the Compliance Analyst Intern will work on a variety of compliance-related projects including reviewing and testing client guidelines, assisting with daily trade surveillance, and testing of the firm’s compliance policies and procedures. Candidates must be available to work appx. 20 hours per week on-site in the office throughout the 2025-2026 school year. 

Essential Functions 

Create and develop Excel spreadsheets; 

Conduct data analysis and testing; 

Prepare reports; 

Assist Compliance staff as needed; 

Scan documentation; 

Perform administrative tasks. 

Desired Qualifications and Skills: 

Enrolled in college pursuing a business-oriented major, sophomore year or beyond in good academic standing, GPA of 3.0 or higher is required;

Strong interest in the stock market/investments and the legal and regulatory aspects of the financial services sector;  

Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills; 

Prioritize and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy and attention to detail; 

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (understanding of Excel functions such as SUM, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, IFERROR, etc. are required.); 

Prior experience is a plus, but not required; 

Willingness to work appx. 20 hours per week IN THE OFFICE with some flexibility. 

 

Location 

This position is based in our office in St. Louis, Missouri.
