Who We Are

The Annex Teen Clinic is a sexual health clinic serving young people through age 25 with education and clinical services. We believe young people make great decisions for themselves when they have all the facts. The Annex provides a full range of low or no-cost sexual health services including clinical services, referrals, follow-up, and education. All services are confidential, and no one is turned away for their inability to pay. We’ve served our community as a valuable, trustworthy source for clinic services and education since 1971.

Wages

$80,000 - $95,000 annual salary.

Benefits

Paid vacation time, sick time, and personal time policies, plus nine paid holidays per year and two floating holidays; competitive health, dental, and vision insurance offerings; Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contributions up to $1,200/year for high deductible health plans, and options for Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA); There is employer paid basic life insurance with the option for additional coverage paid by the employee. The employer pays for Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) and short- and long-term disability insurance. ATC sponsors a retirement plan with a 3% employer contribution after one year of service.

A Typical Day in the Life…

A typical day as Annex’s Director of Clinical Services and Operations provides an opportunity to lead strategic clinical initiatives, support program staff, and oversee systems and contracts that ensure high-quality care. Responsibilities will include the following:

Clinic Program Management and Leadership

  • Lead and oversee all clinic operations to ensure services align with a positive youth development framework.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategic clinical goals consistent with agency values.
  • Serve as System Administrator for NextGen Practice Management and Electronic Health Records, including staff training, data collection, and reporting.
  • Stay current with best practices in clinical care and reproductive health, updating policies as needed.
  • Identify and remove barriers to care to ensure equitable access for all patients.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and Clinic Lead to ensure quality of care through audits, medical policy updates, and quality assurance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare-related regulations, including OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA.
  • Serve on the Director’s Team to support program coordination and integration.
  • Cultivate partnerships with clinics, schools, nonprofits, and community organizations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with program contracts; prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports.
  • Supervise the Outreach Team and off-site clinical services to ensure consistent service delivery.

Financial Management and Development

  • Lead the development and management of the Clinic Program budget.
  • Authorize expenses and maintain responsibility for balancing the clinic’s financial operations.
  • Oversee all program contracts, fee schedules, and the development of new billing opportunities.
  • Maintain and manage third-party payer and government funding contracts.
  • Monitor clinic inventory and analyze resource needs.
  • Support the development of grant proposals for public and private funding.
  • Review and submit clinic invoices, ensuring full compliance with contract terms.

Strategic Leadership

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and leadership team to define agency objectives and strategic goals.
  • Contribute to long-term sustainability planning and report key outcomes to the Board of Directors.
  • Promote collaboration across departments to strengthen internal relationships and service quality.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Oversee staff performance, set clear expectations, and provide coaching and development support.
  • Lead hiring processes, including crafting job descriptions and managing interviews and onboarding.
  • Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment with open communication and conflict resolution.

Who You Are

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nonprofit Administration, or a related field.
  • You’ve spent at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or management role, with a track record of leading high-performing teams, conducting performance reviews, and overseeing quality assurance efforts.
  • You bring experience navigating medical facility compliance, licensing, and managing third-party payer contracts.
  • You have a strong working knowledge of Electronic Health Records and NextGen Practice Management systems and are comfortable using data to inform clinical and operational decisions.
  • You are an effective communicator—both in writing and in conversation—and can clearly articulate complex information to a wide range of audiences.
  • You’re organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • You’re a confident, independent problem-solver who takes initiative and follows through.
  • You have strong computer and technical skills, particularly in the context of clinical operations and data systems.
  • You thrive in collaborative settings and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • You bring a working knowledge of adolescent sexual health, Reproductive Justice, and positive youth development principles—and you integrate these values into your leadership.
  • You are well-versed in healthcare regulatory requirements at the federal, state, and local levels (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA).
  • You are skilled at building and sustaining relationships with external agencies, funders, and vendors.
  • You value feedback from patients and the community and are responsive to their voices in shaping services.

  • You have a valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet Annex Teen Clinic’s driving record requirements.
