Nursery Research Intern

Are you passionate about plants, research, and working outdoors? 
Join our team as a Nursery Research Intern and gain hands-on experience in both field and container Nursery. You’ll work closely with the Director of Horticulture to support research trials and projects that improve how we grow and care for trees—from planting and propagation to data collection and analysis.

This part-time role with flexible daytime hours is perfect for students studying horticulture, agriculture, or biology who are eager to apply their classroom knowledge in a practical, outdoor setting. Be ready to work independently, both indoors and outdoors, in all types of weather.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support ongoing plant experiments and nursery trials
  • Record plant identifications and track growth or status changes
  • Assist with propagation planning and coordination
  • Collect data and input it for later analysis
  • Measure and monitor plant health and development
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all research tasks

Job Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year program studying horticulture, agriculture, biology, or a related field
  • Completion of relevant plant science coursework required
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and responsibly
