Preconstruction Intern

Start and end dates are flexible based on your academic calendar. Both part-time and full-time options are available, and weekly hours can be adapted to fit your class schedule.

About the Internship

This internship is designed for highly motivated students seeking practical experience in the construction industry. Interns will support both preconstruction and project management teams and gain exposure to key phases of the construction process, from budgeting and bidding through project execution and closeout.

What You'll Do:

• Assist with quantity take-offs, scope reviews, and compiling cost estimates for active bids.
• Support subcontractor outreach, bid solicitation, and evaluation to help prepare proposals.
• Help review plans, specifications, and contract documents; participate in preconstruction meetings.
• Aid with schedule updates, budget tracking, and construction documentation using industry-standard software.
• Participate in team meetings, project coordination, and communication with subcontractors and vendors.
• Support project managers with documentation, RFIs, submittals, and project closeout activities

Who We're Looking For:

• Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• Available to work a minimum of 15–20 hours per week during the semester
• Able to work in person at our Atlanta office
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
• Familiarity with construction documents and terminology (preferred but not required)
• Eager to learn, take initiative, and contribute in a team-oriented environment
