Intern - QA & Testing

Intern – QA & Testing (Voice AI Startup)

About Us:
We’re a fast-moving, 15-person startup building cutting-edge voice AI agents that power natural, human-like conversations. Our technology is transforming how businesses interact with customers over the phone, delivering smarter and more efficient engagements.

Role Overview:
We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Fall Intern to support our QA and testing efforts. You’ll work closely with engineers and product leads to ensure our voice agents perform reliably and meet customer expectations. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software testing, process improvement, and voice AI technologies — especially for those curious about startup life and eager to contribute meaningfully.

What You’ll Do:

Conduct manual testing of voice AI agents to validate functionality, behavior, and accuracy.

Carefully document test procedures, results, and edge cases in Confluence and Google Sheets.

Help organize and maintain bug reports, working with engineers to reproduce and clarify issues.

Identify inconsistencies, unexpected behaviors, and usability concerns across our systems.

Assist with refining test cases and improving testing protocols.

Contribute feedback to product and engineering teams based on hands-on agent testing.

What You’ll Learn:

How to test and troubleshoot real-time AI-powered systems.

Best practices for QA documentation, regression tracking, and bug reporting.

Exposure to conversational AI, telephony systems, and backend services.

How agile teams collaborate in a fast-paced startup environment.

Insight into real customer deployments and how quality impacts user experience.

Ideal Candidate:

Current undergraduate student (junior or senior preferred), studying Computer Science, Engineering, Linguistics, or a related field.

Comfortable with technical tools, documentation, and structured problem-solving.

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to clearly communicate findings.

Enjoys identifying edge cases and asking “what if” questions during testing.

Bonus: Familiarity with Python —but not required.

Why Join Us:

Be part of a forward-thinking team shaping the future of voice AI.

Receive mentorship from experienced engineers and product leaders.

Get a close-up look at how real-world AI systems are built, tested, and deployed.

Contribute meaningfully—even without heavy coding—by helping us deliver higher-quality products.

Gain experience and context that can help shape a future career in tech, QA, product, or engineering.
