After-School Enrichment Teacher
Part-Time Enrichment Instructor â Challenge Island (Natomas USD)
Pay: $25-$28 per hour
Expected Hours: 10-15 per week, Weekdays 3-5:30pm
Job Type: Part-time, Temporary
Location: In-person at elementary school sites in the Natomas Unified School District
Challenge Island of Davis / West Sacramento is hiring enthusiastic, reliable, and engaging instructors to lead our nationally recognized STEAM enrichment programs for students in grades Kâ6 at elementary school sites in the Natomas Unified School District. This is a fun and rewarding opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to make a meaningful impact through education.
This position is ideal for current or former teachers, college or graduate students pursuing degrees in education, or anyone with strong classroom management skills and a passion for teaching.
We provide paid training in our unique, hands-on curriculum. All lesson plans and materials are fully prepared and supplied. Instructors enjoy a flexible after-school schedule, a collaborative teaching environment, and bonus opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead engaging, hands-on STEAM enrichment classes
Facilitate fun learning activities and team projects
Promote creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving
Create a positive and supportive classroom environment
Requirements:
Passion for working with children
Strong classroom or group management skills
Reliable transportation
Reside within 10â15 miles of Natomas, CA
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Availability for consistent weekday hours between 3:00â5:30 p.m.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in education, child development, or a related field
Experience in teaching, tutoring, childcare, or enrichment programs
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
