As a Direct Support Professional, you are the cornerstone of our mission, providing essential, hands-on support that directly enhances the lives of our consumers in a residential setting. You'll be at the forefront of providing personalized care, ensuring our consumers feel valued, respected, and supported in achieving their aspirations.

What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):

• Championing Daily Success: Skillfully assist consumers with a variety of daily living activities, from fostering personal hygiene and healthy habits to engaging in housekeeping and on-site chores.
• Community Connection: Support consumers in attending appointments and enjoying recreational activities, including fun shopping excursions!
• Guiding Growth: Actively discuss long-term and short-term goals with consumers and their guardians, helping to turn aspirations into achievements.
• Narrating Progress: Maintain detailed and accurate daily communication logs, providing insightful notes on consumer progress and daily experiences.
• Team Harmony: Collaborate effectively with co-workers to ensure a seamless flow of care and complete all shift duties with diligence.
• Safety & Compliance: Diligently adhere to all Individual Service Plan (ISP) objectives and uphold all agency policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications):

To flourish in this vital role, you should possess:

• Experience & Education: A high school diploma or GED is required, and prior experience in a similar supportive role is a plus.
• A Caring Spirit: Demonstrated patience, compassion, and a genuine ability to connect with individuals of diverse abilities.
• Physical Readiness: Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds comfortably.
• Certification & Training: Hold current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Delegated Nursing, or be prepared to attain them within a company-mandated timeframe.
• Reliable Transportation: A valid Driver's License, personal liability insurance, and an acceptable driving record with less than 6 points are essential.
• Background Check: Ability to successfully pass all required background checks.
• Adaptability & Problem-Solving: The flexibility to navigate various challenges and work an adjustable schedule based on consumer needs, including addressing behavioral and neurological considerations.
• Strong Communication: Excellent rapport-building skills and the ability to maintain clear, professional communication with consumers, guardians, and staff.
• Organizational Prowess: A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills to accurately complete all daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
