Student Volunteer Ambassador

Help Others Volunteer in Your Community – Become a Student Volunteer Ambassador!

Discover new opportunities. Guide others. Make a difference—starting right where you are.

Are you passionate about volunteering but still figuring out what’s out there? Do you want to help others find ways to get involved—while also learning more yourself?

Join us as a Ways to Connect Student Ambassador!
You’ll help bridge the gap between people and meaningful local service opportunities—all while building experience in community outreach, research, and leadership. This is a remote, flexible volunteer role—perfect for students looking to make an impact on their own time.

🛠 What You’ll Do (1-3 hours/week)

  • Adopt a Community Page: Choose a community page on our national platform and help keep it updated.
  • Explore Your Area: Learn about local volunteer options (don’t worry—we’ll help you find them!) and the trusted sites that list real, up-to-date volunteer opportunities.
  • Answer Questions: Share tips and answer questions in online spaces like Reddit or student forums.
  • Promote resources through posters, campus groups, social media, student emails, or campus events on how to find volunteer opportunities.
  • Be a Connector: Help others get started with volunteering, whether they’re brand new or looking for their next opportunity.

You don’t need to know everything—we’ll work with you to discover the best volunteer resources for your area.

We’ll help you create a custom plan based on your interests and how you like to engage others.

💡 Why It Matters

💡 What You’ll Gain

  • Real-world experience in community engagement, outreach, and communications
  • Increased knowledge of local nonprofits and how to get involved
  • Confidence in guiding peers and promoting causes you care about
  • Documentation of your hours for class credit, service-learning, or your resume
  • The satisfaction of helping more people do good in your community

  • Are active in student groups or campus life (but not required!)
  • Want a flexible volunteer role you can shape around your schedule
  • Are curious about local nonprofits and how people get involved

You don’t need to be an expert—we’re here to support you!
