Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a skilled Transportation Planning Specialist 5 to serve as a Landscape and Roadside Restoration Program Lead - Landscape Architect in the Olympic Region. The Landscape and Roadside Restoration Program Lead is a registered Landscape Architect providing management of and technical expertise for roadside restoration services to the Olympic Region. This program supports Project Development, Construction, and Maintenance and Operations. This position manages the Olympic Region Roadside and Site Development unit ensuring fulfillment of WSDOT policy as outlined in the Roadside Policy Manual (RPM). This includes responsibility for coordinating the visual element within the highway corridors, ensuring scheduling, funding and overseeing the development and preparation of roadside preservation, restoration, and enhancement projects. This position has the stamping authority for contract plans and technical expertise reports produced in conjunction with the program.
