Literacy Interventionist at Luling Elementary School
Salary:
- $63,000-$84,840
- Sign On Stipend: $2,500 ***if hired by September 30, 2025
Work Duration:
- 183 Days/9 Months
- 7.5 Hours/Day
- School home base may vary from year to year
Responsibilities:
- Conduct or assist with screenings and assessments
- Interpret assessment data to identify students needing intervention
- Provide direct, evidence-based reading intervention using structured literacy approaches
- Use various teaching strategies to enhance reading, writing, and spelling skills
- Remain current with literacy intervention research and instructional best practices
Certification Requirements:
- Louisiana teaching certified: Type A, B or C - or - Level 1, 2 or 3
- Five (5) years of successful classroom teaching experience required
- Provide evidence that demonstrates measurable progress in student learning and achievement
- Science of Reading Training preferred
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders
- Required participation in additional training for Interventionists
- Must be willing to transfer to another school and/or grade band based on District needs
