About the Role:
Professional Success Coaches (PSC I) support adolescent females with histories of trauma by creating a safe, structured, and healing living environment. You’ll model positive behaviors, teach life skills, maintain routine and structure, and help youth develop the tools they need to thrive — even when they push back.
What You’ll Do:
You're not just showing up for a paycheck — you’re showing up for them. Our Professional Success Coaches (aka PSCs) are the heart of the cottage, helping teen girls who’ve experienced serious trauma learn life, boundaries, and structure... even if they test all of it. Repeatedly. In one afternoon.
As a PSC I, you will:
· Teach daily living skills (e.g., cooking, cleaning, basic routines)
· Foster emotional safety and model healthy boundaries
· Provide transportation to appointments and activities
· Maintain cottage cleanliness, inventory, and order
· Accurately document behaviors, incidents, and progress
· Respond to crisis situations with calm and professionalism
Training & Support:
You’ll receive 2.5 weeks of paid training in Newton including:
· Trauma-Informed Care
- Safe Crisis Management
- Child Abuse Reporting
- Psychopathology, Substance Abuse, Suicide/Self-Harm
- CPR/First Aid, Boundaries, Food Safety, LGBTQ+ Affirming Care, and more
Then: 2 weeks of shadowing to help you settle in and build confidence.
Job Requirements (a.k.a. “You Still In?”)
· Minimum age 21
· Proof of your highest level of education (HS Diploma, GED, or degree)
· Valid driver’s license with clean record
· Must pass drug screen, TB test, physical, fingerprinting, and background checks
· Pass a reference check
· Physically able to walk, stand, climb stairs, and respond to crisis situations
