Transportation County Supply Specialist - Putnam County

The Transportation County Supply Specialist will report to Putnam County Headquarters.  performs full-performance level duties in ordering, receiving, recording, storing, and shipping of materials and equipment at a district, regional, or state stockroom or warehouse. Expectations are clearly defined, and work is reviewed often. Steps, processes, and methods are related within the job duties. Performs related work as required.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

REQUIRED TRAINING/EDUCATION 

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a stock clerk or, in a clerical capacity in connection with storeroom or warehouse operations, bookkeeping, accounting, timekeeping, purchasing, inventory work, handling materials.
  • Substitution: Successful completion of coursework from a regionally accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience through an established formula.

Promotional Only: Four (4) years as an hourly transportation worker with the Division of Highways.
