Role: We are looking to augment the team with an analyst or associate (technical is a plus). The analyst/associate position is an investment role with the potential to be based in one of Arbor’s global locations. The day-to-day responsibilities will include deal sourcing and evaluating new early-stage investment opportunities, supporting due diligence efforts, drafting investment memos, performing sector deep dives and expanding the Arbor network.
 
 
Ideal Candidate:
·      1-4 years of experience in a relevant field (i.e., in a startup, software engineering, consulting or banking)
·      Passion for financial services, fintech and commerce enablement (e.g., working in the space, investing, analyzing, or tracking what is happening, etc.)
·      Globally minded
·      Analytical – Excellent quantitative skills and strong ability to problem solve and think creatively
·      Intellectually Curious – Desire to learn deeply and to go the extra mile
·      Passionate – Highly motivated and hungry to work with startups and in the venture ecosystem
·      Patient – We see hundreds of companies before investing in one
·      Proactive – Self-directed with an ability to prioritize and drive tasks to completion, to synthesize information and to formulate a perspective while taking pride in the overall quality of their work
·      Communication Skills: Ability to form a point of view, communicate clearly in writing and verbally, and to develop a network of relationships with start-ups, founders, investors, and industry leaders
