Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting/Audit/Tax Associate who is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. This onsite role requires a strong foundation in U.S. accounting and tax principles and the ability to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who wants hands-on experience in a diverse range of accounting services while working directly with international clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review U.S. tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, etc.)
  • Assist with audit fieldwork and financial statement preparation
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting and bookkeeping tasks
  • Communicate with clients in both Mandarin and English
  • Support senior accountants and partners on client engagements and special projects

Requirements:

  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written)
  • Master’s degree in Accounting (required); Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (a plus)
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and U.S. tax code
  • At least 1 year of experience in accounting, audit, or tax (more is a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • This is an onsite position in New York City

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Chinese-owned or cross-border businesses
  • CPA eligibility or in progress preferred
  • Familiarity with software such as QuickBooks, UltraTax, etc.
