Job Description:
Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (“CACIB”) is the corporate and investment banking arm of the Crédit Agricole Group. CACIB’s Corporate & Leveraged Finance (“CLF”) platform is based in New York and originates, and structures syndicated loans and bilateral facilities for the Americas including LatAm. Furthermore, the Group acts as a primary underwriter and is active in the secondary markets to provide liquidity to investors. CLF is comprised of sub-teams including: Leveraged & Telecom Finance Group (including Ratings Advisory and High Yield Bond Origination), Fund Solutions Group, Corporate Origination and Loan Origination Support.
The Group is seeking a recent graduate that has some experience in the Financial Industry. This US Analyst position will provide support primarily to the CLF Loan Origination Support team members and management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong initiative, be a team player, be able to work under pressure, have attention to detail and an understanding of banking and capital markets. The position offers exposure across CLF, as well as various groups/platforms across the bank such as coverage teams and the opportunity to participate in the execution of syndicated loan transactions from beginning to end.

The U.S. Analyst position will be available for a maximum of 2 years. The goal of the U.S. Analyst program is to develop the ideal candidate for consideration to a potential full-time position at the end of the two years, if available.
Job Overview:
Assist Corporate & Leverage Finance team members and management in the day-to-day operations of the department with a primary focus on the portfolio management of syndicated corporate loans. In this role, the US Analyst will work closely with a more senior member of the team to assist in all aspects of portfolio management and support the origination & execution process for the Bank’s corporate loan portfolio including closing of operations, profitability analysis, operating measures and documentation.
Responsibilities:
Deal Execution & Support:
- Prepare presentation materials and business opportunity memorandums for the Business Pipeline Committee.
- Assist in the review of legal documentation and prepare Closing Memos for new transactions.
- Support the booking, monitoring, and administration of new loan transactions (including amendments and waivers).
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze loan profitability, comparing expectations against actual results to generate insights for management.
- Prepare and assist with the generation and distribution of internal reports on portfolio performance. Conduct post-closing analysis to ensure transactions are performing as expected.
Portfolio Administration:
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the loan portfolio database.
- Ensure timely and accurate gathering of information for analysis and reporting.
Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams (including Credit, Internal Legal, Relationship Managers, Middle Office, Operations, and Senior Management) and external teams (including Agent Banks and External Law Firms - to support the entire deal lifecycle.

Preferred
- Education: A recent graduate in Finance, Economics, or a similar field with a strong record of academic achievement. Familiarity with corporate debt instruments, including syndicated facilities (such as revolving credit and term loan facilities) is a plus.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access including experience with VBA. Experience building financial models and utilizing functions for data analysis is a strong plus. Proficiency in PowerPoint is also required.
- Communication & Project Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to cross-functional teams and Senior Management. Proven ability to manage multiple deals and projects and meeting deadlines effectively.
