Loan Agent Setter – Prepare Customers for Financial Success

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about helping people through great customer service? Credex is looking for a Loan Agent Setter to play a key role in the early stages of our loan process.

Your Impact

As a Loan Agent Setter, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers beginning their loan application journey. You’ll guide them through the initial steps, ensure all required documents and information are collected, and prepare complete, accurate files for our Underwriting team to review.

This is a non-decision-making role — you won’t approve or deny applications, but your work is critical in making sure the process is smooth, professional, and fast for both our clients and internal teams.

What You'll Do

• Assist customers in beginning loan applications via phone, in person, email, or WhatsApp Business
• Collect and organize necessary documents and ensure applications are complete before evaluation
• Guide agency teams and customers through the intake process
• Follow up with customers to obtain missing information or clarify details
• Pre-screen basic loan renewal conditions (with support from the branch when needed)
• Leave clear, organized notes for Underwriting and Sales to ensure a seamless transition
• Deny expired applications that weren’t evaluated in time
• Issue denial letters based on instructions from the Underwriting team

What We’re Looking For

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
• Customer-first attitude with a helpful and patient approach
• High attention to detail and ability to stay organized
• Experience in customer service, financial services, or administrative roles is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple leads and follow-ups with urgency
• Team player who collaborates well across departments
• Comfortable using internal systems and documenting updates properly
• Proactive problem-solver with critical thinking skills
