Inside Sales Account Specialist
A Distribution Account Specialist focuses on identifying and securing new business opportunities, expanding Glen-Gery’s customer base, and driving revenue growth with existing Glen-Gery customers. The Sales Development Specialist will also play a critical role in supporting Glen-Gery Distribution Sales Managers and Strategic Account team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generates revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.
- Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.
- Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
- Develops accounts by checking customer’s buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining technical features.
- Supporting Opportunities and Leads utilizing SalesForce to develop and manage accurate sales pipelines and conversion rates
- Coordinate with operations, purchasing, customer service, and pricing and other departments throughout the sales process.
- Report and provide feedback to management team.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients.
- Effective tactical planning and problem-solving skills
- Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion.
- Exceptional ability to analyze market trends and competitor behavior.
- Ability to maintain strong client relationships and establish industry partnerships.
- Competency in negotiating and closing business deals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Should be initiative-taking and ambitious.
- Travel Expectation-15% some overnight travel expected
Education/Experience:
- 2+ years in Inside/Outside Sales building material product knowledge preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, experience in Sales Force and J.D Edwards preferred
