Inside Sales Account Specialist

A Distribution Account Specialist focuses on identifying and securing new business opportunities, expanding Glen-Gery’s customer base, and driving revenue growth with existing Glen-Gery customers. The Sales Development Specialist will also play a critical role in supporting Glen-Gery Distribution Sales Managers and Strategic Account team.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generates revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.
  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
  • Develops accounts by checking customer’s buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining technical features.
  • Supporting Opportunities and Leads utilizing SalesForce to develop and manage accurate sales pipelines and conversion rates
  • Coordinate with operations, purchasing, customer service, and pricing and other departments throughout the sales process.
  • Report and provide feedback to management team.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients.
  • Effective tactical planning and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion.
  • Exceptional ability to analyze market trends and competitor behavior.
  • Ability to maintain strong client relationships and establish industry partnerships.
  • Competency in negotiating and closing business deals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Should be initiative-taking and ambitious.
  • Travel Expectation-15% some overnight travel expected

Education/Experience:

  • 2+ years in Inside/Outside Sales building material product knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, experience in Sales Force and J.D Edwards preferred
