Test or Support Intern
Nice to meet you! We’re Firewalla, a scrappy, innovative, and creative team of engineers based in San Jose who build affordable cyber security solutions for homes and small businesses.
We are looking for either a Test Intern or Support Intern
Software Testing Engineer Intern Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and automated scripts.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, coordinating resolution with development teams.
- Perform regression, performance, integration, and security testing.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
- Continuously enhance testing processes, ensuring product reliability and stability.
Technical Support Intern Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt and clear technical support via email and online community forums.
- Troubleshoot customer-reported software and hardware issues, guiding users through solutions.
- Analyze customer feedback and support interactions to help identify product improvements.
- Create and update user documentation, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
- Communicate customer insights and recurring issues back to product and engineering teams.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical background (experience in networking, cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly.
- Ability to perform product demos and speak confidently about product features and benefits.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree graduating in 2025 Winter or 2026 Summer, in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
