Gymnastics Coach
The Gymnastics Coach provides class instruction and coaching for children’s gymnastics at the Chaska Community Center.
Responsibilities
- Works in tandem with another coach to oversee 10-12 students at once, providing instruction in the balance beam, vault, bars/rings and floor.
- Demonstrates age appropriate skills to child/children; explains, spots, and assists during learning process.
- Ensures gymnastics equipment is in working order and used according to safety standards.
- Maintains records for class participants, including attendance, injury, and evaluation documents.
- Regularly communicates with parents/guardians of participants, providing pertinent information and responses to questions and concerns and addresses and resolves problems with consultation or assistance from Gymnastics Coordinator.
- Provides orientation and guidance to new staff.
- Performs all other related duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- 15 years of age or older

- Ability to work with gymnastics equipment and course set-ups
- Experience working with children
- High energy and enthusiasm
- Ability to address issues and problem solve
